    Reward category

    1. Best Property Financing and/or Proptech

    Judges are looking for the most innovative technology to solve the biggest problems in the real estate sector. To be included in this category, the business needs to have a value proposition related to real estate financing/asset registers/payments.

    2. Best Digital Housing Loan Innovation

    The award received a home loan, which offers a new or significantly improved home loan, which implements technology that brings benefits to Eithher lenders and/or borrowers or loan markets. Examples may include innovative use of credit modeling, data elements and/or improved user experience or distribution channels such as brokers.

    3. Best Commercial Digital Banking

    The award has contributed to new or significantly improved, and the award implements technology to bring benefits to corporate banking clients. This covers all areas of business banking; ACCOUTS, Ministry of Finance, Linding, FX, Credit/Debit Cards, Expenditure Services, Bank Guarantees, Network/Fraud Protection, E-commerce/Merchant Services and other products, as well as asset/portfolio management.

    4. Best use of technology to combat fraud

    The award category ensembles the role of technology in combating fraud in banking and finance. Submissions should clearly state the areas of focus, successful achievements, and descriptions of “planned participation” of technical solutions.

    5. Best use of AI in FinTech and Banking

    Judges are looking for the best use of artificial intelligence (AI) in fintech and banking; AI can provide human services for machine learning at scale and can include accurate, faster decision-making, smart customer support, fraud detection, financial advice and claim management, and more.

    6. Best Youth Finance Application or Service (PFM, Savings, Investments, Payments)

    Fintech or banking providers offer the best portfolio of services (savings accounts, investment accounts, information), discounts, education, advanced services/pricing and other attractions. The award category can also include submissions of services designed for children (usually 10-18) and young people (usually 18-30).

    7. The best innovation in payment

    This award category collects innovations in payments, including online payments (merchant and consumer), mobile payments, in-store terminals, embedded payment services, best use of AI for fraud, international payments, and the use of open banking and CDR services.

    8. Best investment platform/application

    Australian Awards collect Australians’ desire to trade stocks, ETFs, FXs, bonds, digital currencies, and more. Judges are looking for innovations using tools, user experience, fees, customer service (such as live chat), application registration time, biometric signatures, inventory alerts and growth metrics. User ratings for Apple and Google Play Stains are also considered.

    9. Best Fintech-Bank Partnership (Consumer/B2C Services)

    The judge is looking for partnerships, specific projects or products to show how banks (listed banks, ADIS, client-owned banks) and fintech companies work together to deliver B2C consumer products. Banks may include non-banks participating in financial services and are regulated by ASIC (or APRA). One of the parties submitted must be ADI.

    10. Best Fintech-Bank Partnership (B2B/Wholesale/Institution)

    The judge is looking for partnerships, specific projects or products to show how banks (listed banks, ADIS, client-owned banks) and fintech companies jointly provide B2B, wholesale or institutional services. Banks may include non-banks participating in financial services and are regulated by ASIC (or APRA). One of the parties submitted must be ADI. This category may include Stablocoins/CBDC.

    11. Leader of the Year (under 35)

    The judge is looking for an outstanding individual under the age of 35 who have been contributing to the development of fintech and banking.

    12. Female Leader of the Year

    The judges are looking for an outstanding woman who has been contributing to the development of fintech and banking.

    13. Leader of the Year

    The awards ceremony is looking for an outstanding individual who continues to promote fintech and banking.

    14. Best growth story

    This reward celebrator is a reward from fintech or new bank! This category is open to any Australian FinTech/ADI and can prove that great things are achieved in Australia and/or around the world (metrics may include new market growth, customer growth, revenue, downloads, etc.).

    15. Ashursst Startup of the Year

    Judges are seeking fintech and/or new banking startups that impress in the financial services sector through new and innovative services, creating competition and changing the way we experience financial services.

    Finalists have notified: Thursday, July 24, 2025

    Awards Party: Thursday, July 31, 2025

    No input required. Up to 6 entries per company. Finalists from each category are invited to participate in free tickets.
