Hantec Markets re-established three senior management positions through internal promotions and two new appointments, FinanceMagnates.com Learned. The agent promoted Norayr Djerrahian to chief business officer and hired Tim Hughes and Vivek Mehta as chief strategy and chief technology officer.
Hughes and Mehta joined the broker in early July. Hughes replaced Djerrahian in the CSO role.
Djerrahian, headquartered in the agent’s Dubai office, has been working for Hantec for the past six years. His focus on the new role will be “to leverage (broker) emerging opportunities in Latin America in infrastructure, expanding (ITS) teams and strengthening the brand’s business.”

He added: “With the headwinds of newer markets in Africa and Asia, we are also constantly evolving our products to be more intuitive and locally relevant and bring greater value to customers in these key areas.”
The broker also noted that its business development and account management functions grew by 42% due to increased customer demand and regional expansion. Jerachian will now oversee the broker’s business strategy and support the front-line team.
Hughes, now Hantec’s CSO, has extensive experience in retail transactions. He began his career at IG Group nearly 25 years ago and worked almost halfway through the company, leaving in mid-2013 as managing director of UK operations.
He also served as the UK CEO of Tigerwit, where he developed and executed a broker’s market entry strategy through acquisitions.

“We are constantly planning strategic alliances and expanding our reach in the current and future markets,” he added. “We intend to bring important ideas to market first.”

Newly appointed CTO Mehta joined Hantec from Infinox Global, who is the technical director. He also served as CTO at Aximtrade for more than a year. He revealed that Hantec’s “roadmap undoubtedly involves measurement extensions of (its) proprietary stacks.”
“Metatrader is one of the most popular platforms for traders and remains the cornerstone of our products. At the same time, we recognize that proprietary tools can bring us the agility of businesses like ours, and that these tools do have a place in the wider suite of platforms we offer,” Mehta said. “Proprietary modules provide more customization experiences and give us full control over server performance and scalability.”
